I am no longer 27 years old, which was when I started writing this blog. Now that I am 34 years old, a part of me thought about deleting some of my older posts but because it was a snapshot of my life without filters, my older posts will remain as reminders of my growth and life changes.

I am still a law school graduate trying to make it in the “real” world…who realizes that the real world is not as glamorous as I once thought, when I was younger. I am the product of a lower-class family…who is trying to succeed in an upper-class society.

I am a dialectic tension.

  1. Nancy MacKinnis

Thank you very much for the wonderful explanation of the very confusing NC Amendment 1. I knew that I was opposed to it, but had some questions about why so much noise is being made about it.

    • You are very welcome!! I didn’t realize how many people were still very unsure about the amendment until recently and I’ve gotten some good feedback from my post on it…so I am glad I was able to make it more “understandable.” Feel free to pass the info along to your friends, family, etc. The more informed voters there are…the more likely this amendment won’t pass.

  2. I like it when you say you are a catholic who sometimes questions the policies of the church. I can relate. Me who have been schooled on catholic congregation run schools since kindergarten. Heck, even my all-boys high school are run by catholics. Not ranting, i loved my school experience, just saying. Found your blog looking for JLin stories. Boring weekend with NBA season 2 mos ahead. U go girl!

    • Thanks for the comment! I think a lot of Catholics can relate to my dilemma. People say that faith is blind but I do not think we should follow the church blindly b/c a religious institution is not the same thing as faith in God. So I guess Catholicism and Jeremy Lin are two things we have in common. 🙂 And I don’t know about you…but I’m counting down the days to the start of the NBA season!!!
